My First Ukulele
I finally bought a ukulele, something I have wanted for a long time (hey, Warren Buffett thinks the ukulele could even solve our economic problems). The Mahalo ukulele I bought even comes in orange—and was only $20! For $20, I should have gotten a uke a long time ago!
(I also got a set of quality ukulele strings, since several reviewers mentioned that the cheap plastic strings that come with it don’t stay in tune.)
For starters, I want to play Israel (“IZ”) Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. It doesn’t sound that hard, but what do I know. I got my ukulele tuned without too much trouble, and I figured I should be able to translate chords from guitar to get up and running without much trouble. However, my initial attempts to play songs I already know on guitar indicate there’s a little more to learning to play a ukulele.
So I’m looking for tips.
Other than smiling while I practice (it’s practically impossible not to), what’s the best way to get started learning to play the ukulele?

Idk if you got any answers yet, but I looked up ukulele chord charts online. I saved it to my favorites too just in case I forgot them haha.
